Tackles the problem of command and control in a realistic fashion which presents the player with real decisions on how to influence the course of the battle. It achieves this by working on the basis that, unlike most wargame rules, commanders remember and act on their orders until they receive new ones. Flexibility is introduced based on the character of the commander and where he has posiitoned himself. The combat resolution mechanics are straight forward. I'm looking forward to trying this on the table top. Well explained and avoids most of the tedious detail of the exact positions of stands which bedevil many rule sets. Well worth a read if you're interested in fighting battles at an army level and the ideas could be applied to other periods.
