Its a risk clone with a few extra tweeks to the formula. You have terrain features, you have differently powered units, you also have some light base building/economic bits.

Being said, i cannot shake how much this plays and reads like risk with precious little to add.

Also the "i spit on your grave" and "dead dead dead" expansions are not present in the game, despite the claim of being added before end of the year. This game was submitted in 2003

This game didn't really inspire me when I first got it, however the blurb is totally truthful about the content of the game. If you want an in depth wargame . . look elsewhere. If you want a bit of simple fun, it delivers the goods. The artwork . . well look at the cover.

This game is good for what it is! No complaints!

This is a neat game for those who like Risk. A little crunchier than Risk as far as game play is concerned. The board leasves a little to be desired (bigger hexes would work a little better, and you could easily print out the gameboard hexes and blow them up at the copy shop for an easier game). The graphics are simple but good, and it makes for a pretty good light generic wargame (if you consider Risk a wargame). All in all, a pretty good bargain for something new to fiddle with that is a bit familiar. I recommend it.

If you are a hard-core, long-time gamer, just set this one down and go pick up Warhammer. If you are a beginner, or the proud parent or influential adult connection of a future young gamer, then you can boost this rating by two and definately get it. It's easy enough to learn, and fun enough to play to get the next generation hooked.

Very Risk like in play, this game does offer the advantages of a modular hex-based battlefield that will change each time the game is played and a tech level advancement chart that helps in production of units.

Don't believe the cover image though - the only troops in this game are various types of infantry you don't get any tanks. This game is a very good bargain for its price but I don't think we're going to see the two promised supplements as it is already at the end of the year and they are nowhere in sight.

Still, for only $2.50, it is a very reasonable value with a good bit of replay value in it. Recommended.

Fast and furious fun, the mechanics are very Risk-like but on a modular map, play is quick and balanced. This game could benefit from an added element, fortune cards perhaps, or leader/heroes, or a more detailed technology advancement system, but at this price, write your own!
