This is the first edition I ever bought, and it's my favorite. A complete, easy, space battle system with ship construction and only one scale to worry about. It includes the rules for fighters and carriers as well. Much simpler than later editions.

At 354 pages you have a ridiculously detailed account of the Arachnid War. Well worth the buy for nostalgia alone. A great account of Empires at War
