Inn of the Crescent Moon
by Gary N. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 02/03/2018 10:17:01

Got this last night and it sure was a lucrative purchase! The whole product is beautifully made with great graphics and some valuable back-story of the Inn of the Crescent Moon tavern and involved characters. I'm anxious to drop it into a side-quest for my current mini campaign (as soon as I can find the best spot). The clean, straight-forward design of the tavern is a perfect setting for any number of adventure ideas and now I am going to be looking ahead to future products like this one from the guys at Jade Tower Studio.

Sticks & Stones Prehistoric-ish Role-Playing Setting for Savage Worlds
by collin s. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 05/20/2017 19:04:31

With only minimal teaking this setting is perfect for running a Conan or Lemuria type setting. Or run it as is. Sticks and Stones is a well written and laid out gem that for some reason most people have missed. For 99 cents you can't go wrong.

1676 Bundle [BUNDLE]
by Charles E. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 10/24/2016 20:37:24

Nice rules covering a conflict usually missed by gamers. Probably the best chance Native Americans had to eject Europeans from New England.

Rules could use more editing but work well and are fun.

Mad Dogs & Englishmen supplement adds alternate Native & colonist forces, some beliefs of the time, witches, Native mythological beings, and 4 "regular" European forces: British, Dutch, French, & Spanish.

Needs only some artillery to portray some of the worldwide conflicts these powers got involved in during the 1600 wars of exploration and trade.

Thank you for the review, Charles! I agree completely about the editing. If you have any edits or suggestions, please send them to me - I'll give you credit, of course. We playtested artillery rules, but didn't include them in the final version because they aren't as "fast play" as the rest of the rules. I'd like to make rules for artillery (and maybe simple naval rules) - again, if you have any ideas about artillery rules, please let me know. Kind regards, Rob Lusk blaheee@gmail.com

A fun, tongue in cheek game demonstrating why we are superior to other pre-modern humanoids (huh?).

Sticks & Stones Prehistoric-ish Role-Playing Setting for Savage Worlds

The GOOD:

  • Excellent, unique setting idea with a lot of fun elements and very creative writing.

Sadly it stops there :(

The BAD:

  • The art work is very amateur.
  • The layout, design, and formatting is even more amateur.
  • The water marks are intrusive on my printed copy, yet another amateur indication.

Sticks & Stones Prehistoric-ish Role-Playing Setting for Savage Worlds
by Sean F. [Featured Reviewer] Date Added: 04/12/2013 17:04:27

SEAN'S PICK OF THE DAY: Long awaited, highly anticipated, and a whole hell of a lot of fun, Sticks and Stones presents a Savage experience that is truly savage and truly challenging. I dare you not to laugh your prehistoric tuckusses off as you try to interact with the barest minimum of usable words. "...shamanic powers, mighty beasts, brutal weapons, cunning inventions, shiny rocks, diplomatic grunts, threatening stares, and more!" I am not making this up. Some really talented people did, though, and you can bet it's one of Shane's favorites.
