Expensive for a series of battle listings, which could be found on google I expected an idea of army units at least Very poor

I was really in two minds as to order or not, as I was looking for some detailed information (approx unit/force sizes, possible make up etc, etc,) to allow me to refight some classic dark age actions. Hopefully this publication would help, the price was putting me off and lack of reviews or other info, anyway I purchased. tbh I have to say there is not much here that I could not have found out myself by just searching on line. Sorry to say I think it's way over priced for a pdf and some high level overviews. I fully understand the real lack of details that can be drawn upon, but given the title and front cover i was expecting a lot more.

I wqs looking for scenerios on a regiment\brigade level suitable for Black Powder and this series seems to do the trick with a little conversion work. They seem well researched with good detail. I'm collecting the series.

I'm so happy with "Forward the Colours" I'm here to see if there are more in the series. Can't speak too much on historical accurancy but the one battle I'm studying it seems to be on the money. Speaking of money. Considering the amount of work that appears to have gone into this publication I consider it a bargain at this price. Constructive criticism? A few more gaps in the layout to reduce confusion when looking up OOB's.

Excellent set of scenarios, very clearly set out and, cover apart, very low on colour ink for printing.

I enjoyed reading the scenarios and back ground and the information was straight forward and easily understood. It would be nice if they provided a better key for the maps. If they are going to put out these scenarios then they should be able to provide a nice map and key. I found the information in the scenarios nicely presented and very informative. I would be interested in seeing more work along these lines.
