This is the 2nd game I’ve bought from the US. The first never got to me and no one on either side of the Atlantic took responsibility. All that happened was I paid for the game and didn’t receive anything. So I was worried about buying this game. But I needn’t have been. Part of the game was a PDFwhich I got immediatelyand the printed items were posted to me as soon as they were ready. I received emails regarding tracking and despite being told the minimum wait would be 3 weeks the game arrived in 8 days. No problems and put my mind at rest about ordering printed items in future.

The game itself is a small game, played on a single sheet map US Letter size. Equally small are the number of counters needed for each battle/skirmish, which makes it ideal for solo play. Not complex but interesting and I’m sure complexity could be added if required. But as they stand the games can be completed in a hour – again ideal for a solo wargamer – giving a pleasing game fought to a conclusion. The bundle contains the rules, 12 colour hex maps, players aid and all the counters necessary to pit the British/American forces against the French and Indians. Only thing not included is the single D10 needed for play. The maps, aids and counters came printed on quality, substantial card – the rules were in the PDF. Very satisfied with my purchase – enjoyable game that allows me to play solo for a short time and bring the game to a conclusion. Service was fine, with no problems

I notice the "SHAKEN" counter is missing for the SNIPER Counter of 101 Airborne with morale of "6" in page 91

And there is a duplicate "SHAKEN" counter for Vietnamese Sniper with morale of "6" in page 92.

Wish you can clarify on this.

I purchased Falling Stars the Core rule book, based on the high quality of Lock n Load publishings games. It was a little sparse on background info so I purchased this adventure, expecting it to provide possibly a little more background. It turns out it is merely an adventure, written to appeal to the totally novice role player, with hardly any useful info for the Falling Stars setting. If it had been $5, I would not have been critical. Their needs to be a disclaimer that this is a product for totally novice players and is designed for them, and not something a seasoned gamer need bother with.

Line of Fire 13 is filled with the usual excellence. Lavish use of graphics makes for a visual feast.

My biggest gripe is no period flavor. So if you are looking to game out WE WERE SOLDIERS, pass on this one. You don't get a sense this is Nam. The game lacks detail, basically you have infantry platoons and leader counters. Mortars and Machine guns are factored into heavy weapons units. At this scale they should be shown as squads or sections. Their placement was often critical. The leaders are all the same, and as anyone who has ever served knows, all butter bars, second lieutenants, are not created equal. Same complaint with air strikes, very bland, a Sandy, Sky-raider could loiter for ever while a jet Phantom had to get in and out quickly. Finally the key to air mobile operations the helicopters are way to abstract, the landing zones are always, available and open. You wish... On the positive side the map looks good and the variant cards add a nice touch. There are several miniature rules sets that do this battle better and more economically.

The product should come with 24 pages only 20 arrive, with no counters to print making it a rather dear though good rulebook, with counters it would be worth four stars. I had no problems downloading Lock and load magazine 13 with the Alma Game. The scenarios are varied with Polish and French troops, the counter mix adds just the right vehicles
