Wonderfully detailed, yet playable. Includes both man-on-man combat and ludus management. Plenty of tactical choices in combat. Allthe weapons and types, plus good representation of damage and the (caonsiderable) effect of armor. By no menas simplicitic, and does take some study and play, but well worth putting in the time. Fun, challenging and believable. Best I have seen on gladiators.

Bought Taiko sometime last year and been playing a bit of 6mm with some friends. Really fun game. With 6mm and the way Taiko works there are a lot o models that end up being played on the board, so movement can take a while. Combat however is quick and easy to understand. There is a in depth moral system that effects all parts of the battle. Seiges are hard as hell.

There can be a few problems, and some need for rule clarifications, but overall, Taiko is a Fun, effective and fast Stratagy game. 4/5

No table of contents, index, page numbers. Sure you can print it but to actually use it as a rule book would be tuff.
