King Solomon presided over a golden age of peace and prosperity in ancient Israel. During this time Solomon instituted an unprecedented building program. As one of Solomon’s chief governors, you must procure materials and oversee construction of buildings and roads across the land for the glory of Solomon. You will also help to construct the Temple, one of the wonders of the ancient world.

Kingdom of Solomon is a worker-placement game with a few new twists and turns. Do you claim a resource space, an action space or throw in all your remaining pawns to grab a powerful Bonus Space? Will you spend your resources to extend Solomon's kingdom, take some points in the Market or add to the Temple? These and many other choices await you in this highly interactive game.

From the designer of the board game: Revolution!

The game board:

WORDS FROM THE DESIGNER: Philip duBarry

Don’t assume this is just another get-resources-and-build-stuff eurogame. Our years of development have resulted in multiple innovations tightly fused together in an easy-to-learn, challenging and fun gaming experience. Right from the start players are presented with interesting choices and a “first-to-blink” mechanism that adds real excitement to the basic worker placement. From there players may connect the individual spaces together forming vast trade districts that can be activated by only one pawn. Finally, players must decide how best to deploy their various resources. Buildings block other players from certain resources and give you extra spaces. The Market allows you to profit from any shortages or over-abundance in the game. Or you may choose to help construct the famed Temple of Solomon, which grants access to the powerful High Priest and a substantial endgame bonus.

With these elements along with many other twists and turns, Kingdom of Solomon will provide you with a concentrated and unique gaming experience. Thanks for your support. We are very excited to bring you this wonderful new game!

Main Design Elements for Kingdom of Solomon:

  • Interesting choices right from the start. This game features a tight worker-placement mechanic with a “first-to-blink” twist. Players may claim spaces with pawns or use all their remaining pawns to claim one of the three Bonus Spaces, each providing a super-sized bonus.

  • Create vast trading regions. Players may connect various spaces together with Roads and piece together a gigantic Resource Region which can be activated with only one pawn.

  • Construct various unique structures. Buildings block the other players from certain resources while giving you extra action spaces. Different buildings are available each game!

  • Fortune cards always give players a few surprises. Fortune cards may be held and played at a later time. Does your opponent have extra victory points, more resources or a special power that might complicate your plans?

  • A dynamic Market system regulates shortages and over-abundance. Skill and timing can help you earn those last few points or obtain that last hard-to-find resource.

  • Build the famed Temple of Solomon. Helping to build the Temple grants access to the powerful High Priest and a substantial endgame bonus.

  • Fantastic theme. Ricky Hunter’s amazing art transports the players back in time and makes the game come alive. Prove your loyalty to the wisest and richest monarch in history. The top-notch components will make your experience one to remember.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
