Bleakbane's Galaxy Guide is the first release of the lore book for the Aotrs Shipyards Lore.

Bleakbane’s Galaxy Guide is a comprehensive, living guide to the various powers, nations and species that populate our galaxy, written for the denizen of Earth-E (that’s you). Inspired by such seminal works as the guide from Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Spacecraft 2000-2100AD and the Jane’s guides, the Galaxy Guide is intended as a single reference source for all interested parties. While some of the later entries do build on the earlier ones, the reader is not intended to read from cover to cover, but is encouraged to pick and choose  the entries that interest them.

The Guide is simply illustrated with primarily black-and-white line renders of many of the ships and vehicles and is suited to reading on devices such as kindles.

The first 2350 edition contains full guides for five powers – the liches of the Aotrs, the sentient battle tank Cybertanks, the human Herosine Empire, the tetracorn Jalyrkieon Hierarchy and all that is known of the mysterious Extra-Galactic Aliens XGA01. These full guides include a breakdown of the power’s ships and ground forces.

In addition, the Quick Look At series covers thirty other major power in lesser detail and finally gives a brief overview of some of the many smaller powers.

Written and compiled by former Army Of The Red Spear Commodore Bleakbane, this represents the most up-to-date resource of its type available to Earth-E.

Both PDF and AZW3 files are provided for maximising ease of reading.

This is intended as a living document, with updates (likely annually or bi-annually.

Note: This is a pure lore/fluff book there are no game mechanics.

For game mechanics, see Maneouvre Group Scifi Expansion for the ground forces and the forthcoming Accelerate and Attack! Aeons of War fleet lists books.)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
