ADD TO WISHLIST >

Command & Cohesion World War II is the first historical title by Echidna Games.

Designed for two players, Command & Cohesion pits squads of 5-15 soldiers against each other on the battlegrounds of the 1940s.

Pick from one of five warring nations – or play as brave resistance operatives – and customise your squad to take on your opponent in one of four exciting scenarios.  And use figures from any manufacturer to bring those games to life!

Command & Cohesion is easy to learn and fast to play but also rewards good tactical decisions, making it perfect for beginners and tabletop veterans alike.

So grab your miniatures and a handful of ten-sided dice and dive in to Command & Cohesion World War II

Our mission at Echidna Games is to offer tabletop rules that are fun to play, at value-for-money prices. We have no range of figures to sell and encourage you to use whatever models you have to play our games. We pledge never to use AI in the creation of our products and 10% of our annual pre-tax profit will be donated to charity.

If you have played Laserblade from the same publisher a lot of what is here will be familiar - but not all - and just like that title you are getting a decent skirmish gamebut this time set in ww2.

First off grognards beware this is a system aimed at fun and not absolute historical accuracy, that said the game does seem to represent the period well.

Basically you are going squad vs squad, on a three foot square table - I see nothing to stop bigger games on bigger table but the initiative rules would need tweaking - activating up to three members of your squad each turn.

At the start of a turn you roll a d10 to decide who has iniative with bonuses for command and being cohesive (everyone within 6inches of a mate) and that player goes first. You then roll a d10 for the number of activations again with bonuses for command and cohesion, you always get one activation but can get up to three. Activated units can move and fire etc. really that is it, there is a little chrome...See more

Thanks for an excellent summary! I love the second paragraph - WW2 is such a tough setting to take on as a publisher, even though I consider myself a bit of a history buff.

Thanks again for taking the time to sum things up. Next time anyone asks us to describe C&C, I'll send them here.

Hi! It doesn't have a solo option as such. However, there is no blind bidding or anything like that so you can play as both sides.

Funnily enough this is something I did a fair bit of in testing, and that I still do for fun with Laserblade.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
