IT'S BAAAAAACK!

FUTURESHOCK has arrived, and with it, come brutality, mayhem and carnage, all on a single page that can be printed out, cut and turned into a tiny six-page booklet. FS is a set of incredibly simple skirmish rules for miniatures in your collection, focused on the post-apocalypse, but don't let that stop you from using it to fit whatever setting you prefer.

In FS, players create warbands of thrashers and send them into small-scale engagements, rife with blood, mayhem and slaughter. Skirmishes are played on 1 by 1 foot battlefields with combat beginning on the very first turn. Welcome to the wasteland, Thrasher. Welcome, to FUTURESHOCK!

Issue 8 of FS! has been taken over by SUPERSHOCK! SS is presented as a superhero-themed skirmish game, using FS as a foundation and serves as both another issue in the FS series, as well as a stand-alone release, giving you everything you need to play, if you're new to FS. For returning FS fans, SS presents POWERS, a new way to play, including a backstory for the game's universe and rules for NPC bystanders, as well as other new implementations!

*Included are instructions on printing out and assembling your booklet. Also included is a single-page version of the rules.

Another great issue! I'm glad this game is still receiving support. Previously, I had simply renamed the mutations from earlier issues to represent super powers, but this one adds some helpful options. I have a question, though. On p. 5, you mention that, once triggered, the "invisibility" power "lasts until [the ultra's] next activation." Does that mean all attacks will miss the ultra before the start of their next activation? If so, invisibility seems a bit overpowered, especially since it triggers on a 4+. Are you supposed to roll for invisibility each time your ultra is attacked, maybe?

Greetings, and thank you for your support! I have to thank you for catching that; this is an error. It should read that it activates on a 7+ and happens when attacked, meaning the Ultra momentarily goes invisible during the attack; "lasts until the Ultra's next activation" shouldn't be there as it's a passive Power. My apologies; it'll be updated today! Again, my thanks for catching it, and for the support.

These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
