Mini-Medieval
30-minute Fictional Medieval Skirmishes

After the fall of the Old Empires, and the savagery of the dark ages, 100 kingdoms fight to keep what is theirs, and take what isn’t. You are the king of one such kingdom and battle is upon you!

This game is designed for people who love a miniature game with meaningful tactical decisions, but hate massive tomes of rules and tons of record keeping.  It is for people who love historical medieval miniatures, but aren't crazy about simulating historical battles.  It is for people who want to play in a world conquering campaign, but want to do it in 30 minute game sessions.  It's also for people who like to have a good time playing games with friends.

The preview showcases the core rules for a pitched battle in just 2 pages!  The rest of the document is a similarly concise set of rules for campaign play, scenarios, and rules for the climactic castle siege...to overtake your buddies kingdom and put the king's head on a spike!

Hi David, I have just purchased all of your Mini Medieval & Western rules. They look like they will provide a very interesting game. I am busy printing out some 3d miniatures for them.
The Mice game looks fun, will we be able to buy the mice figures you've been working on? I think that my grandchildren would enjoy this game.
I am very much looking forward to the fantasy rules.
Keep up the good work!
Brian

Thanks Brian…glad you are enjoying the games. All 50+ of the Mice-at-Arms miniatures are available (pretty cheap too, I might add) at RRB Minis & More. There is a Frog army complete as well (at the mold makers), and we hope to have those cast, and available (with the rules), in the very near future. I’ll post a link…not sure if it will work in this discussion section…

Looking forward to the Fantasy supplement. Also, something with Hun/Mongol type armies.

I had gotten the fantasy supplement about half finished when I started sculpting mice miniatures (since I couldn’t find any I liked)…that ended off going on a whole different tangent, the spin-off game Mice-at-Arms, and the sculpting of almost 100 miniatures, ha ha. Like many one-man shows, I have so many projects…and so little time.

Hopefully sooner than later I can get back to the fantasy supplement…and it does include a “Men of the East” army…which is an excuse to use historical models in an unabashedly fantasy guise. :)

This is great. Picked up both, and love the way it reads. Please consider a low-fantasy Conan-esque expansion. I'd throw another $1 at that!

Thank you very much. There is a fantasy supplement in the works (one man show, so it will be a little while before that is fully written, edited, and completely tested…). It will have a dash of “Conan” along with a dash of Tolkien, and a dash of something that hopefully feels “unique” to this game…while trying to remain generic. Anything will be easy to use, or not use, as one likes…so a “Conanesque” game should work.

That’s the plan at the moment. :)

Picked up this and Muster #1. Love where this is going, but really hope you also continue to support Four Delvers. Will post review after getting a couple of games under my belt.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
