BORDERS OF BLOOD is a set of wargame rules inspired by the largest armed conflict in the history of South America, the Triple Alliance War (or War of Paraguay, or the Guasú War). The system was developed by Victor Barone, for the 28mm scale, but can be used, with small adjustments, with smaller scales, including 6mm, since the basic concept of the rules uses the construction of Infantry Battalions and Cavalry Squadrons from Units that can house miniatures of varying scales. The main objective is to provide an easy-to-learn regulation, but don’t forget the realism and historical accuracy.

Main features

1)        Rules developed for different scales, from 28mm to 6mm, at the Batallion level.

2)         An original mechanism - using Action Dice - that randomises the actions that each unit will be able to perform in the turn and gives the commander in chief (the player) the responsibility of distributing these orders with or without privileging certain Units.

3)         A mechanism - called Action Cards - that, by means of a deck of printable cards, randomises events in each turn, granting bonuses and penalties to the armies involved in the combat.

4)         A combat system, which uses randomised dice rolls to determine the outcome, while maintaining a high level of reality in the confrontations between Infantry, Cavalry, and Artillery.

5)         Lists with the main Brazilian, Argentine, Uruguayan, and Paraguayan Generals, with quality grades for each of them (for use in-game), in addition to tables with the historical availability of weapons and Units (elite, regular or recruit), during the years of war - for players who appreciate historical features.
