Fleet Battles in WW2

My previous ruleset Dreadnoughts At Dawn reproduced large capital ship engagements in WW1, it did not deal with aircraft and focussed on the larger capital ships. 

Fleet Battles in WW2 is a simplified and accelerated rewrite of my rules "Carrier Strike at Dawn" which it now supercedes. It allows for day and night actions, pure surface actions, pure carrier actions and hybrid carrier surface actions which whilst the least realistic are the most fun to game!

Personally I now use 1:1800 scale warships and 1:600th scale aircraft models though the rules will work equally well with any size right down to 1:6000 if that is your preference.

All record keeping is kept to a minimum and as with all my rules their primary design aims are FUN and SPEED. I don't like playing a WW2 naval game with 2 cruisers or 1 aircraft carrier, I want to play with 6-10 big warships or 3-4 carriers and their entire airwings an still be able to set up, play the game and take it down in 3 hours.

I have taken the decision to make these rules FREE. I usually sell my rules very cheaply for about $5-$7 but thought it would be nicer to reach a broader audience than those prepared to pay for rules they are not familiar with.

If you are tempted to spend your hard cash on my WW1 dreadnought rules after reading these, please do so, but as of November 2021 I am playtesting a new much simplified and streamlined version of the WW1 dreadnoughts rules, basically much closer to these WW2 rules. I would anticipate them being up on Wargames Vault by the end of 2021. They will be free to all existing owners of Dreadnoughts at Dawn.

Likewise an enhanced version of "Red Dawn" my cold war gone hot 1985 rules will be available later this year though the changes this time will be quite small.
