This is the big one from Conflict Simulations Limited

The Destroy All Monsters Operational Series are a brand-new series of operational WW2 games that can be combined together into one large strategic game.   Each game uses the same set of core rules with exclusive rules chapters covering the individual aspects of each theater.   Mechanics are highly interactive and feature concepts and mechanics not usually associated with other eras of conflict such as Reactions and Counterattacks.

Army Group North covers vonLoeb's ascent into the Baltic in his attempt to blitzkrieg Leningrad with the assistance of the Finns. While performing extraordinarily well, the Soviets were ultimately able to keep AGN out of Leningrad leading to an eventual long drawn out siege which the Germans could not maintain as the war went on.

Army Group South covers vonRunstedt's extended campaign toward the vast oilfields of the Caucasus.  AGS had the most ground to cover comparatively to the other Army Groups and were assisted by Romanian and Hungarian forces.   While historically, the Germans reached Rostov which is almost unthinkable when looking at the map, they were quickly repulsed from Rostov before the end of the year because of inadequate German preparation for the winter combined with the first successful Soviet counteroffensive of the war.

Army Group Center covers vonBock's ambitious gambit to reach Moscow by the end of 1941.  Perhaps the biggest historical failure of Barbarossa was the failure to reach Moscow, many generals were convinced that it was the only major city worth taking (like Napoleon) but Hitler thought better of his generals and sent a Panzer Group south towards Kiev.

Army Group Center combines with Army Group North and Army Group South to completely cover Operation Barbarossa through 1941 – the entire DAMOS series

Just bought these and they are tremendous!! One question though - it says that the map fiels are printable at 8.5 x 11? When I go to print them they show as a full page but I can get them to print on three sheets and when you put them together they make up the 17 x 22 game board. Am I doing something wrong at my printer??

Which map is giving you the problem? One of the smaller games or the combined map for all 3?

Hi Steve - It's all of them really! I can't see a way of printing them at 8.5 x 11. I go to the print option on the pdf and it just shows the maps as two pages and no way to select to print at 8.5 x 11!!?? There is an option to print 'Multiple' on the pdf menu and it shows as three pages. I've printed them out like this and all I need to do is trim them and then join them together. Everything else is okay just the maps! Is there a way to get them at 8.5 x 11?

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
