Welcome back to the World Beyond.  The world of Graviton Prime, to be exact.

Miners on this volatile remote planet have sent a distress call out into space in the hopes that someone….anyone….would hear their plea before it was too late. You aren’t just “anyone.”  You are the battle-hardened 124th Galactic Marine Raider Battalion, and you were supposed to be enjoying some R&R after crushing your last battle.  Never fully at rest, you were assigned the supposedly breezy mission of patrolling a “peaceful” region of space….until your com system buzzed to life with that cry for help.

“Mayday, Mayday, Mayday! If anyone can hear my voice, there has been a major underground explosion in the Mine here on Graviton Prime. A group of Colossal stone creatures tunneled up from deep beneath the surface and are wreaking havoc. The few remaining miners are panicking and we have no weapons that can damage these creatures. If anyone is out there, please, we need your help!” --- Colby Manzo, Mine Boss

From the fabulous minds of Hermann Luttman and Colby Duerk, Attack of the 50 Foot Colossi is the much-awaited follow up to Invaders from Dimension X and Space Vermin from Beyond.  Set in the same universe, Colossi is a tactical hex-and-counter wargame, which provides players with ore carriers full of solo fun and excitement.

Attack of the 50 Foot Colossi includes:

  • 58 Fearsome Unit Counters
  • 30 Operational Markers
  • Two Otherworldly 11” x 17” Maps
  • One Two-Sided Player Aid Card
  • 18 Full-Color Order of Action Cards
  • One Full-Color Rulebook

(Dice and Pickaxe Not Included)

A very well developed game and an overall great and rather unique experience. It plays fast and furious, gives the player some interesting tactical decisions to take and a very interesting and unpredictable and terrifying enemy. Thanks to enough randomness the game is very replayable. The whole setting is presented in a very atmospheric, almost movie-like way. Great game!

However there is a caveat with this PNP-Version: As Andrew W already mentioned there are no gridlines on the counters. You'll have quite some work to make the countersheet ready to be cut properly. I didn't and my version got terribly wonky and isn't nice to look at.

Please @Tiny Battle Publishing: Could you add a countersheet with grid to the PNP? When I noticed an updated version of the PNP I hoped for exactly that. It would be great if you could do that and I'm sure many other PNP-crafters would appreciate it. Thanks.

The September 12, 2019 update includes grid lines on the counters in a new US-Letter-sized file ("Colossi.Counters.PnP_(8.5_x_11).pdf"), as well as several other PnP-related updates. Complete details of the changes are in my product review. :)

Wow, that's exactly what I was longing for (I don't know why I didn't notice the new counter-sheet when I wrote my comment here). Finally I'm able to replace my terribly cut counters with proper ones. :) Thank you for the information Stephan! And good luck hunting down those stone-faced bastards! :D
@Tiny Battle: Thank you!

Can we please get gridlines printed on the PnP countersheet? Without them it makes it barely worth my while to assemble. Thanks.

Hi Andrew perhaps you can draw the grids yourself with pen and ruler?or perhaps i dont understand what you meant

FWIW, i agree completely with Andrew: the added pain of precisely hand-drawing one's own grid to these counters makes them not worth the effort of assembling. Drawing precisely-measured lines between the counters should not be a required part of assembly - those lines should be part of the counter graphics. A grid is necessary for lining up the front and back halves properly, as well as for cutting them reasonably well, and it would be essentially impossible (for me, anyway) to hand-draw the grids on both halves that precisely.

Notes about the game's advertised contents:

1) It's only available in PDF form, so the ziploc bag obviously isn't included.

2) The contents list doesn't mention cards, yet these unboxing/unbagging videos [ and] demonstrate cards used for enemy activation. Those _need_ to be listed in the contents, as they can be a deal-breaker for people considering purchasing this (i seriously dislike printing out cards).

Thank you for pointing this out to us. We have corrected the listing to include the 18 cards.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
