Everything is included in the game with both the hit resolution card and how to play card as well. I like the game, so much so, I bought the full blown version from Quarterdeck.

Bought the bundle, but to be truthful, though very interesting, there are several factors that make this game bad to useless to me. All that scripted fancy type is hard to read. Reds and Greens are the same color to me, so are useless. If you need color, then put an outline around the card (this also included putting blue - when I or anyone goes to print these out, just think of of all the ink that is being wasted because of the solid colors. The rules should be put on an 8.5"x11" or the metric equal (A3? A4? - not sure) paper not one 1 or 3 cards, again hard to read. Blowing the cards up that are inside a pdf to be able to read is not very good. Outside of this, if you go to make another one of this type of game, please think about the use of color and always remember to keep it simple. I do like the subject as there are not any games about the Italian Air Fleet. Hopefully, we'll see Italian submarines soon. Thank you.

Dear Ashley M,
Thank you for your review. We appreciated that you enjoyed the subject which, you are right, is quite unusual. We thank you for your suggestions: the game is a part of a 18 cards only therefore the rules are on the cards itself and in this way it works very well as airplane flight filler. Regarding the colour issue we are really sorry for the issues and we took note of the interesting indication. Enjoy our games and feel free to contact us. Marco & Lucrezia @ Lumaca Games

Buon giorno,
I will try to find your email address. I do have a couple of questions concerning play. For example: There is a card that shows a box with the word damage in it. Is that representing a ship? the SM79 aircraft? or both? What do the numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 represent? I am figuring that with the numbers 2, 3, and 4, the instructions are either adding an additional card or removing a card, but the 0 and 1? Thanks. So far, it is very very interesting concept for a card game. Would make a very good small mini-board game. :D
Distinti saluti,
-a

Buongiorno Ashley
Thank you for the message; the card with damages represents the damages received by the SM79; staring from 0, every time you get Hit during an AA Resolution Draw, you rotate it increasing the value. The more damages, the indicated adjustment are to be applied; also the distance for releasing the torpedo is decreasing! Please write to marcocampari at fastwebnet.it if you need more information!

Bu the way Ashley, SM79 has an heir; 278th Squadron The same 4 cats.
It is a solitaire card game using the same engine of SM79 with a narrative. This time it is not only a one shot mission, but 10 missions during IiWW, with an ever changing deck building system and with the objective to gain the Gold Medal of Bravery, the best Italian Medal during the war. Please note it has around 60 cards and in order to save ink (we have still to implement your suggestions..) you should print the odd. pages, not the even coloured ones, with are the back of the cards. Take care. Marco & Lucrezia @ Lumaca Games

Here it is Mar 2020 and I must say that this game and it's sister game "278th Squadron, The Same 4 Cats" has held up over the past couple of years in both play and interest held. Like the original reviewer stated, it is short and sweet in play (max of 5 mins of play), but my gosh, they keep me coming back for more punishment. Thank you Marco for such interesting games.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
