NEW 2nd EDITION!

THE ERA OF 3D PRINTABLE WARGAMES IS HERE!

World War Tesla™ is an alternate-history wargame by James M. Ward (author of TSR's Gamma World, Deities & Demigods, and Metamorphis Alpha) and Thomas A. Tullis, where Nikola Tesla’s more radical ideas such as death rays and force fields have come to fruition, changing the face of a world at war. Giant walking tanks, soldiers with rocket-packs, and flying machines armed with death rays rule the battlefield!

World War Tesla™ is the forefront of print-at-home wargaming. Say goodbye to the days of spending massive amounts of money to even have a small army to play a wargame, with World War Tesla™ even the largest vehicle can be printed for less than a dollar. All 3D printer .stl files for vehicles, troops, accessories, and even some terrain are provided, so there is no limit on how large your armies grow.

This game includes:

• Full color rulebook

• Unit cards

• 6 armored vehicle models

• 2 troop models

• 3 tree models

• 'Tesla Tower' objective marker

• 3 ruined building walls

• Dug-in markers

• Troop tray

• Firing arc template

• Full model assembly instruction manual

• Reference sheets

Can the models be printed on an ELEGOO Mars 3 resin printer with a 3.5"(width) x 5.6" (length) x 6.8" (height) platform without scaling?

I notice two scenarios were included in the initial release. The 2nd edition mentions scenarios but, I don't see them anywhere in the rules. Are there no scenarios for 2nd edition?

Just bought this, and reading through the rules. Absolutely loving what I'm seeing, and the uniqueness of the hit/damage system is quite intriguing. Have started printing out my first pieces for the Chenault. That being said, I have a question. Reading through the Scenarios pdf, I noticed that the Behind Enemy Lines, in discussing objectives, states that one side's mission is to check out the tesla spark generators powering the other side's bunkers, and to "...use the bunker model for this objective."

However, I've found no bunker model either in the starter set or in the other files available here. Is there an actual bunker model or do I need to proxy one?

Prior to the 8/10/2020 update, FDG included a Bunker_Entrance.stl file in the ModelsAccessories folder. I'm guessing that it was just inadvertently left out of the 8/10/2020 update (and subsequent ones). Hopefully they put the model back in once they see your question.

15mm by default. But you can resize the models to print at whatever scale you want to play at.

I purchased this game a while back and printed two of each vehicle, 2 squads for each side, 4 Tesla towers, several craters at different sizes, etc. It took about two weeks to print all of the items! Then I painted everything. Only after everything was painted did we play. The game runs pretty quick and is quite fun. It would be cool to have Martian tripods with stats to fight! (Hint, Hint)...

Thanks for another great set btw ^^

Is there any chance we could get pre-assembled model files? I'm very interested, but I'd prefer to paint them in Substance Painter and import them into Tabletop Simulator as opposed to printing them.

Has anyone had any luck assembling the Sturmpanzer IIa? No matter what quality and fill settings I use the slots in the legs are far too small for the tabs on the legs and the lower body. I have to file the tabs waaaay down and then the model is (unstable).

Any quick notions on how to open those slots up a pittle bit, or get the tabs to print a little smaller so things fit better?

Yes they are a bit tricky. I was able to dremmel the slots enough and cut the tabs enough that super glue was able to make a good bond. The next one I print gets a raft under the legs and I expect that will be the cure... keeping my fingers crossed

Can you please clarify the use of the 'troop' models in the game.
Is each individual soldier a 'unit' for points cost or is a 'squad' worth 25 pts?
What is considered a 'squad'? 3?
Are 'troop trays' simply for ease of movement of more then one soldier or are there special rules for their use?

PUBLISHER
A Troop Squad consists of three soldiers (the point cost listed on the unit card is for the full squad, not each individual troop, thus a Rocket Trooper squad of three troops is 25 pts. total.) The troop tray is used for keeping the three troop figures organized, and they can also be removed one at a time to keep track of squad damage. We have the official game F.A.Q. here: http://www.fatdragongames.com/fdgfiles/?p=4506

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
