Scrivener Street

Scrivener Street is one of the busiest in the city, with many of the citizens having reasons to visit the street regularly. The road is home to many offices belonging to clerks, accountants, lawyers, although none as important as the offices of a certain moneylender, who lives above the office in good quality housing. The street is also populated with taverns, shops and homes, with the upstairs being used for various other businesses and boarding houses.

A set of printable battlemaps compatible with any RPG/Dungeon-Crawl game. Use as a standalone gameboard, or combine with any same-scale tileset.

Contents: A set of two 20 x 30 maps depicting a winter street scene. The ground floor map features a snowy pavement and road, with wooden and stone buildings that house taverns, offices, shops (butcher, blacksmith, baker, equipment etc). The upper level includes homes and small businesses.

Also included are 300dpi full size jpgs, for poster printing or VTT. (n.b. gridless version only available as jpeg)

Also included are Roll20 VTT ready files, sized at 72dpi and 140x140px per square (all less than 10mb)

Hi there! It's a busy time for us, so whilst we should be able to help if you email us (heroicmaps@gmail.com) you might be able to sort if yourself sooner in the mean time using websites like ImageSplitter and Posterazor that will chop images into a designated number of pieces.

Howdy!
I just do it myself. Open the jpg in Microsoft Office Picture Manager. Go up to Edit Picture, then to the right to Crop at which point it gives you the size of the file in pixels. Just divide it up into quarters. Easy as souffle.... er, wait...

Just want to ask if there are some FoW styled tiles for roofs included too, if i don't want to reveal to players content of the city buildings yet, but later on?

Hi there. That's not something currently included, and it's a nice idea. We might update the map in the future with a set of rooftops, but in the meantime we have this: http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/155781/Heroic-Maps--Rooftops which, whilst not winter-themed, you can cut out and create rooftops to cover the maps.

Thank you for reply. It would be nice to have them in winter style as well, if possible :)

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
