DRAGONLOCK™ Ultimate an interlocking terrain system that allows you to create fully modular, multi-level 28mm scale dungeon terrain for your RPG or wargame on your home 3D printer. Individual pieces links to neighboring pieces with our exclusive Dragonbite™ clips. Each set is delivered as a downloadable .stl file, and once you have the set, you can print as many pieces as you like and never run out or need to purchase more.

• Corner x2

• Narrow Pillar

• Doorway with movable/removable door

2021 and i'm prolly a little late to the 3d printing party, i've tried a few different systems out there and so far Dragonlock is the best i've used. solid connections and you don't have to play with scaling to get it right.
so far completed 3 4 x 5 rooms and a couple torch walls, impressed with the style and ease of print.
they do take a little longer than other types to print, a wall for example will take you about 3 1/2 hours, but worth the time in my opinion.
only thing i might change and it's due to my OCD nature lol
the walls have a slight gap when placed next to each other, nothing that ruins the look of a dungeon, just a minor issue i find.
great stuff, i have a few expansion packs and some adventurers and monster packs, looking forward to picking up more.
a bundle option would be great (hint hint) let me pick a few and get a little off the total price? does get a tad expensive piecemealing them like we have to.
i hope you guys haven't quit the project, with 3d...See more

I own an Anycubic Mega X. I found you through Youtube and your Video on how to 3D Print Miniatures. I am in love with your Dungeon Sets and your Cavern Sets. I noticed that they are all sold separately in different packs. Do you have a Dungeon Pack that has all of them together, or a Cavern one? I want to purchase all of them together, but I would like to know if there is a deal if you are purchasing all of them together?

Also there is another query I have about Cura Profiles. I noticed that you have profiles for the 3 different sizes of the Miniatures, but it won't let me download them due to them not being compatible with my specific printer. Should I just change my Printer in the settings to your printer to get the setting available in your profiles or is there any Cura Profiles for Anycubic Mega X that matches your settings?

The updated door with hinge and lintel is a bit off, the hole in the lintel for the hinge is about half the size of the hinge. The lintel also has a gap when attached to the base, simply can't get it to snap neatly together. Any update on this?

I just want to say I am nearly complete with a huge run of the starter set. I have a Prusa I3 Mk2 3d printer. I divide the files into sets of 4 when slicing them to gcode. Like 4 walls with 2 of them wall 1 and two of them wall 2. Then do 20 prints to get 80 pieces. This is a compromise between filling the full build plate and taking days and the efficiency of multiple prints at once but maybe taking only 8-24 hours depending on whether I am doing floor tiles or corners tiles. I print in 15 micron which is a balance in detail and time. I have been going at it for about 3 months now and have a huge collection of tiles. I have only had 2 failed prints and both of them were due to bed-adhesion because I didn't get a perfect layer of extra-hold hairspray on the bed where the print was. Out of hundreds of runs, two fails is a ridiculously low failure rate all of which I attribute to user (me) error. Honestly I can't see a more economically way to get quality tiles. I have a fair set of Dwarvenforge resin I had from...See more

If you´re using Cura as your software, you can easily multiply the number of clips by right-clicking on the model and selecting the multiply object option. I rotate the clip onto its side first, and then multiply to print 10 clips at time.

really underwhelmed. Purchased it, had to repair the models for a start and even then i was getting errors. It takes a little over 13m of material to build a straight wall piece which works out at a little over $3 a tile at 0.01mm resolution and it curled up on the build plate and failed straight away......

Oh did I also mention it was going to take over 8 hours to print one tile even if it didn't fail. So looking at a realistic build speed of two tiles per day you are looking at months to get a decent sized terrain set.

I will not be wasting further time and money by printing out this substandard crap. From a printing viewpoint the files are crap. The base has too little area to get a good purchase on the build platform due to its design. Add that to the fact that the base design seems to actually pull it into a curl as well. The walls should have been in 2 parts and designed to print vertically and it is not ok to have open meshes in 3d printing which the wall part I test printed had in profusion.

Also its so uneconomical even if it was well designed there is so many far cheaper, quicker and easier options already out there. Heck there is even free 3d printable dungeon tiles on thingiverse and other 3d file sharing sites.

Finally they know about the curling issue and fobbed it off saying the tiles will still join. Yes they might but you will rarely get a curled tile to print as the curled plastic will hit the extruder head blocking its movement and causing the build to fail. I am not going to guess...See more

13m of material? Please read our instruction guide, it sounds like you are printing at 100% infill which is completely unnecessary and a waste of plastic. The wall examples in our photos and video only used approximately 6.5m of 1.75mm filament for a wall piece, and at roughly $23 for a 1kg spool that ends up being about 45 cents per wall, and a print time of about 3 hours 20 min at 100 micron resolution. As for failure rate, we have had only two failures in four months of testing (both from not replacing the tape on the print bed when it needed it), your curling/failure issue sounds like a bed adhesion problem, please check out our user forums if you need assistance, we have a lot of helpful printing recommendations there for numerous printer types, and lots of customers posting their print experiences. :)

I have to strongly say this review is 100% wrong on almost every account. My only thought could be the they have a REALLY substandard printer. I have a Printrbot Play which is one of the less expensive printers ($399) and I've had none of the experiences he's describing. I will state I bought my printer because of this product and I did have some problems printing initially (printing anything, not just these tiles) But as I become more familiar with my printer the problems have reduced dramatically. I haven't had a curled tile, it doesn't take 8 hours to print 1 tile, I just don't even know what this person is talking about.

Will it take a while to print out a decent sized set of tiles? Yes. Will it take months? No. I've been printing off and on for about 4 days and I have about 20 pieces so far. I usually set up a job before I go to bed and in the morning it's done (I can get 3 wall sized pieces and a couple smaller pieces on my printer). Then depending on what I'm doing that day, I may...See more

Have you considered getting a printer that actually works?
Typical print times are about 2.5Hours or less for a flat 2x2" tile, and 5 - 6 Hours for the corner tile.
Curling on the buildplate is definitely a problem with your settings.
0.01mm resolution?
Exactly what kind of 3D printer do you have? an expensive Stratasys commercial model?
Most home 3D printers have a max resolution of 0.1mm or possibly 0.05mm.

Most slicers allows you to add a 'Brim' to help adhesion. Have you tried adding that?
As for the OpenForge tiles(I assume that's the one you're thinking of), they're dull, and the walls look mostly like a plasterboard wall with brick-styled wallpaper.

1 2x2 tile takes my printer 52 minutes. 3 wall tiles together take 8hours. Only had curling on the one piece I didn't prep the bed properly before printing my first piece, which was a stairway that took 2.5 hours. I have tried the free tiles, many were broken files and unprintable. The basic ones that printed were more solid and used more filament than these, and were very plain. They also don't lock together for premade dungeons you can save for another day.

This review was published by someone that didn't understand that there would be some learning involved in 3D Printing. It's understandable, I've spent probably 1kg of material, and 40 hours of print testing (and kit futzing) with my printer (Printrbot Simple with Heated Bed), and only in the last, oh, 10 hours of printing, have my prints become reasonable, as my skills have gotten good enough. While I'm not in front of the computer with Cura on it, I know that the wall piece (2x2 tile and the wall), cura reported 21 grams, and assuming that to be 2.1% of the total 1kg roll, that's ~$0.48 of a $23 roll. Waaay more economical than any other option out there. The first $23 of PLA that I basically wasted most of, was all learning, and is waste. That's just how any skill goes. Try learning how to run any other industrial equipment for $23.

ok I will ignore your fanboys as white noise for now.

step one unzip select wall piece and send to meshmixer. Orientate base to build plate and press send to printer. First problem. You cant send it to the printer because it is a defective file. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b321/Scurvy_Bartella/XXX%20product%20pic%201_zpsa6gzgfoj.jpg~original there is a screenie to prove it. So spend several minutes running mesh mixers repair tool on the model before it is good for anything. Why didn't you fix this? Also why is the wall not a 2 part piece designed so both pieces print vertically in order to get the best result taking into account you get better detail vertically than horizontally with 3d printers. Why didn't your professional know that and build it smarter? You can get perfect joins due to a printers resolution so a 2 part wall piece printing vertically is the best method of doing this task.

Anyways lets get back to it. Oh no not another issue before we can even start printing say...See more

Here is a screen shot of a wall model loaded in Cura, print time is only 3 hours, 43 minutes, at 100 micron resolution, I'm sorry if the printer you are using is slower, but that is not an issue we can fix for you (the printer we are using is a $399 Printrbot, so it isn't a case of us having an über-expensive printer.) As for "building it smarter", we tested many design variations including the one you describe. The current design was the best overall for our requirements, and as the photos clearly show, look fantastic, and make for the easiest to print for our customers. I have loaded the current v1.2 files into Netfabb and no holes are showing, please download the latest files and see if that helps in your software. As always, we will gladly help troubleshoot things for you over on the FDG forums. :)

We're printing it with thin walls and no infill because Tom specifically told us that the pieces(except the doorway) DOES NOT NEED INFILL!
The reason for thin walls is because we don't plan to bludgeon people with them.

The only 3D printer that has had any problems printing the V1.0 set is the Dremel and its SW... and even that piece of ... is able to print the v1.1 files. (Well, the user in the forum that has one, at least)

There's a very good reason why the tiles aren't tipped over to be printed vertically. It would leave the DragonLock cutouts susceptible to distortion. It also makes the outline much weaker. but go ahead and do it if you want. No one here''s going to stop you from wasting your filament. ( The 2x2 tiles, the 'Wall A' and 'Wall B' should be easy enough to tip over.)

2 shells (.8mm) is what we recommend to all of our customers in the product instructions, and when combined with the corrugated-like effect of our sculpting process, results in a very strong model. We have sold over one thousand of these sets, with customers posting photos of their successful builds daily over on our forums and elsewhere, without any issues with our prescribed print settings. It is certainly your prerogative to use other settings than those we have tested and recommend, but we stand by the settings we include with the set.

I'll just toss in that I have a Monoprice dual extruder, printing at .02.

Files coming out great. Incredibly pleased. A single floor tile takes about 52 minutes. A wall piece about 80 minutes. Minor curling at first, but that was user error. Adjusted printing and plate temps and things are great now.

Keep up the good work Tom. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Tom, I did some calculations and converted your 6.5m of filament into a volume, which my slicer computes material. I got 15.65cm^3 for your wall section based off your information. KISSlicer calculates my wall (Dungeon 1A v1.4) for a volume of 31cm^3 and a build time of 9:08. That is at 0.1 Layer Thickness and 2.5% infill.

As for quality, I will admit I got better results using the original CubeX slicer, but I am running KISSlicer to save money on filament. I am still learning the software and have been producing better pieces. Thanks for a great product!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
