Starmada Captain's Companion
|
STARMADA™ is a tabletop game of starship combat. At its most basic level, players take command of space fleets in a general attempt to reduce each other to just so much space junk. At its most advanced, the game can breathe life into any science fiction background players might imagine.
The CAPTAIN’S COMPANION is a supplement for the Universal Game of Starship Combat, detailing the universe of the Imperial Starmada and its major adversaries.
In addition to background information and 35 starship status displays (SSDs) this book introduces several new rules, weapon traits, and starship systems. Errata and clarifications are provided which update the STARMADA CORE RULEBOOK to version 1.2. Finally, we present some initial thoughts on tactics that hopefully will inspire more such discussion in future publications.
New systems and optional rules include:
-
Escorts
-
Fast Attack Craft
-
Jammers
-
Random Damage Allocation
-
Tenders
...and much more!
The CAPTAIN’S COMPANION is not a stand-alone product; you will need a copy of the STARMADA CORE RULEBOOK (MJG-0160).
Don't forget! 3d printing files for all of the starships included in this product can be purchased separately.

WWI Dangerous Skies V4
|

Dangerous skies is a fast play set of rules that represent aerial warfare during the Great War. Taking place just a decade after man’s first tentative ‘hops’ into the air. At the start of the war, early aircraft were fragile and prone to structural and mechanical failure. It took a very special breed of men to fly these aircraft, let alone to do anything else whilst actually in the air. Indeed, more crew died as a result of accidents or mechanical failure than enemy action. However by the end of the war, most modern strategies and tactics had evolved, many of which can be traced to modern times.
The rules work well for any number of players up to 20 per side, though approximately 12 players works best. Players each fly a single aircraft, pitting their wits against opponents. Novices can be easy prey to the more experienced pilot, but even they get lucky sometimes, and beware the two-seater observer’s arc of fire.
The rules include nine scenarios representing real events that happened during WWI (which were often one-sided either in numbers, skills or both). Can you do better than the aces mentioned, or will you be another victim of the Red Baron (and become another commemorative cup).
The rules include statistics for 44 Allied and 30 Axis aircraft covering the various theatres of the First World War (more can be requested). The game needs a hex mat (sized according to the aircraft models used) and sets of red and white dice, preferably in closed containers.
Why not research into this fascinating period of aviation history and create your own battles and campaigns.

Forward Defense '85
|

Forward Defense '85 is a solitaire tactical tabletop wargame where the player leads a company-sized NATO element in a hypothetical, realistic WW3. Forward Defense '85 simulates the fast, ultra high-intensity battles that would have been expected in the opening phase of a Cold War gone hot. Game mechanics are built to reflect the AI using actual Soviet doctrine versus a more nimble, but dramatically outnumbered, NATO player.
The experience of your units, terrain, your objectives, and the balance of the overall campaign affect each and every procedurally-generated battle in the campaign. Every decision matters and requires you to value your resources: Is it worth holding that town and securing at tactical victory? Or is it wiser to withdraw your best armor platoon to fight another day?
