Achtung! Cthulhu Skirmish

Achtung! Cthulhu

To celebrate the recent launch of the Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics videogame on Kickstarter, we've decided to make Achtung! Cthulhu Skirmish wargame free to everyone! Head on over to Kickstarter and search for Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics to bring the Secret War to your PC and unlock rewards, bonus heroes and a whole wealth of Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics goodies!

Set around the events of ‘the Secret War’ Achtung! Cthulhu Skirmish introduces players to the terrifying conflict fought to stop the sorcerous Nazi cult of the Black Sun from unleashing a tide of Mythos horrors against the Allies.

Achtung! Cthulhu Skirmish: Rise of the Black Sun is the title of the first wave of releases during 2016 which will complete a whole story arc set around the first battles fought by the secretive Allied forces Section M, set up by the British to combat the Mythos threat and their US counterparts Majestic.

Arrayed against them are the powerful forces of Exarch Weissler’s Black Sun, who as well as conventional troops and weapons can bring devastating magical power to the battlefield, summon ancient and terrible creatures like the Servitors of Nyarlathotep, as well as powerful allies such as the Deep Ones and Mi-Go.

Take command of brave Allied forces like Badger’s Commandos and the Pathfinder Demon Hunters alongside historical army units, and lead them to victory against the Axis hordes. Deploy special hero units like Sgt Brandon Carter, Professor Richard Deadman or Ariane Dubois to take on the might of the Nazi war machine.

As the Axis, strike terror into your opponents by commanding the sorcerous Black Sun and their Mythos allies, bringing new levels of fear onto the battlefield. Call on the terrifying Deep One War Party or let the unholy Servitors of Nyarlathotep supplement your forces and crush the Allied threat.

Achtung! Cthulhu Skirmish is powered by Spartan Games’ Dystopian Legions 2.0 rules set (re-written by Matthew Hope (Relic Knights, AE-WWII, Wrath of Kings, Sedition Wars) Nick Fallon and John Houlihan.

The game allows for fast playing battles from small skirmishes up to full scale conflicts. Modiphius has added new rules for Mythos powers, creatures, artefacts and spells to allow players to experience the full flavour and terror of the Achtung! Cthulhu universe with their heroes and troops. The range is designed to work alongside other popular 28mm miniature lines.

Missile Threat (Modern Air Combat)

Missile Threat

Air Combat 1960 - 2000

Missile Threat is a simple yet comprehensive modern air combat game, covering every major air conflict from 1960 to 2000, and designed for use with miniature aircraft.

Missile Threat is aimed at providing a realistic air environment and short games of less than 2 hours (including preparation).

What does Missile Threat offer?

  • Simple yet accurate mechanics: Missiles actually track aircraft in-game, forcing you to conduct defensive breaks or last-ditch missile defenses.

  • Fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, ground forces, naval vessels and air defenses all play an important role

  • Stats for over 250 different aircraft

  • 11 Conflicts covered: Vietnam, Arab-Israeli wars (Six-Day, Yom Kippur and 1982 Lebanon war covered), Indo-Pakistani Wars, South African Border War, Ogaden War, Iran-Iraq War, Falklands, 1991 Gulf War, Bosnia / Kosovo, Eritrean-Ethiopian War, and the Second Taiwan Strait Crisis as a bonus conflict. Many of the longer conflicts are split into periods for more accuracy as units and tactics evolve.

  • Each conflict has a tailor-made aircraft and ordnance list for each faction, as well as accurate options for ground assets like SAM sites and AAA.

  • Flight plan "bidding" system: Players must write a flight plan before the game starts, indicating when aircraft will enter and leave the game. Will you try to get your ground attack aircraft in before the enemy fighters arrive? or wait until later? Will you send your fighters in early because you know the enemy will try to get their bombing done early?

  • Complete air environment: Ground assets like AAA, SAM sites and various radars are an important aspect of the game, allowing weapons like the AGM-88 HARM to have a use and for SEAD flights to have a purpose.

  • Pilots can be shot down, wounded, captured by enemy ground forces, picked up by on-call SAR helicopters, or make their way back to friendly lines on foot. Rescuing downed pilots is important for victory.

  • 4 Mission types to fly: Combat Air Patrol, Strike, Combat Search and Rescue, and Close Air Support. CAS missions will see an active land battle being fought while you attempt to support friendlies.

  • Detailed yet simple rules for Naval Vessels and Submarines. Naval Vessels can launch and recover helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, and could potentially be caught unprepared for combat...

  • Forward Air Controllers, Recon, AWACS, AEW and Anti-Submarine Warfare aircraft all have a purpose in-game

  • Campaign System provided so each game can have an effect on the next: Wiped out all the enemy SAM sites? I guess you won't need to focus on SEAD as much any more!

Missile Threat is the culmination of 8 months of research and play-testing. Markers are provided for the various missiles, ground assets and ground forces, as well as naval vessel markers for the Falklands.

Welcome back to the World Beyond.  The world of Graviton Prime, to be exact.

Miners on this volatile remote planet have sent a distress call out into space in the hopes that someone….anyone….would hear their plea before it was too late. You aren’t just “anyone.”  You are the battle-hardened 124th Galactic Marine Raider Battalion, and you were supposed to be enjoying some R&R after crushing your last battle.  Never fully at rest, you were assigned the supposedly breezy mission of patrolling a “peaceful” region of space….until your com system buzzed to life with that cry for help.

“Mayday, Mayday, Mayday! If anyone can hear my voice, there has been a major underground explosion in the Mine here on Graviton Prime. A group of Colossal stone creatures tunneled up from deep beneath the surface and are wreaking havoc. The few remaining miners are panicking and we have no weapons that can damage these creatures. If anyone is out there, please, we need your help!” --- Colby Manzo, Mine Boss

From the fabulous minds of Hermann Luttman and Colby Duerk, Attack of the 50 Foot Colossi is the much-awaited follow up to Invaders from Dimension X and Space Vermin from Beyond.  Set in the same universe, Colossi provides players with ore carriers full of solo fun and excitement.

Attack of the 50 Foot Colossi includes:

•   58 Fearsome Unit Counters

•   30 Operational Markers

•   Two Otherworldly 11” x 17” Maps

•   One Two-Sided Player Aid Card

•   One Full-Color Rulebook

(Dice and Pickaxe Not Included)

Night of Man: Alone Against the Aliens

Alone Against the Aliens, the Night of Man Solitaire Expansion

You must own the Night of Man base game to play this expansion.

In this Night of Man solitaire expansion, Alone Against the Aliens, you can play soliatire against the Killers. The expansion includes a separate deck of cards that controls the aliens as you lead the Earth Militia in six thrilling scenarios. Includes a rules and scenario book, solitaire counters, and a 27-card AI deck.

What's Night of Man all about?

Night of Man is a card-driven, tactical board game. Set in a post-alien-invasion-of-Earth universe, the squads, heroes, and tanks of Earth's Militia battle against powerful aliens with enhanced power armor, hover tanks, Mechs, and spider-like robots.

In each turn gamers draw up to a four card hand and may play a card, sometimes more, in each impulse. The cards activate units to move, fire, assault, and use special powers, such as explosive rounds, telekinesis, and more. Special cards, such as critical hit or bullet storm, can also enhance a unit's attacks.

Each turn continues until three end turn cards have been drawn. Players then choose one card from their hand to keep, the administrative markers are removed from the board, and a new hand is dealt to each player. The players use that new hand, or the card kept from the previous turn, to bid for initiative in the new turn.

Night of Man has numerous scenarios, as well as a point system that allows gamers to put together their own battles in no time flat.
