The new Harpoon V rules, a player’s handbook, a Jumpstart, and four annex books is the largest simultaneous release we’ve ever done. With the last of the production backlog from the development of Harpoon V cleared, we can move forward.
All four core games are finally in print, and we will support all four with new releases. There may be a few more Harpoon-related titles, because there is so much more to do, but we haven’t forgotten the other three.
We’re also working to improve our support and game aids. If Jim Baker’s semi-automated .pdf Form 1s and 2s are popular, we will do the same for the other games.
We’re expanding our online presence, with Groups.io and Discord sites. Be sure to visit.
Dawn of the Battleship
The next release from ATG will be In Mahan’s Wake, by Mike Harris, which will cover the Sino-Japanese War (1894 - 95) and the Graeco-Turkish war of 1897, as well as other historical and hypothetical engagements.
Fear God & Dread Nought
We owe players a data annex on the USA and Japan, among other nations. We haven’t forgotten about it.
Command at Sea
Pat Hreachmack’s Clear the Coast is well into development. We demonstrated two of the scenarios at Cold Wars in March of this year. There are small craft scenarios from every theater, but I think Pat has a special love for the Mediterranean.
Harpoon
We’re running two development tracks for Harpoon. The first is to expand the Navies series as quickly and efficiently as possible. China’s Navy was an easy choice for the next release, and we’re dividing the world’s navies into book-sized pieces. Early development has begun on annex books for France and Latin America, along with companion scenario books.
The second track is bringing our legacy titles up to fifth edition standard. This includes High Tide (now under way). This will be a new edition with many new scenarios and a lot of original material, such as the Soviet GCI organization. South Atlantic War and Dance of the Vampires will also be updated, but less extensively. Anyone who has purchased .pdfs of these titles will receive a free upgrade to the new edition, as soon as they are released. High Tide will also be supported by And Doty’s Form 10s book, which is already in development.
