News Update December 2021

This update comes after a very strange year since the last update. We have managed to survive Covid-19 so far, and neither of us "A"s have kept clear of infection, thankfully.

An update on what we are doing is appropriate. We had hoped to release a new edition of the Officer;s Handbook, this got delayed by the difficulty in playtesting some of the changes because we were unab,e to meet. We have now managed to get that done and of course in the process various cans of worms opened which needed to be sorted out. It came to our attention that there was something not quite right about the costs of artillery, compared to the same gun in a self proplelled mount. This has led us to revise the costing of artillery pieces, usually maing them cheaper, then the costing when mounted in a vehicle, and finally needing a change in the cost of anti-tank weapons in self propelled mounts (which will become a bit more expensive).

Other major work is being done on Scramble, Stringbags, and Fox Two, all of which are very old titles and in need of a clean up. As far as possible we have edited the new editions so that they all follow the same structure, with appropriate tweaks for the periods involved. There are changes in how you create your aircrew, how aircraft attack ground targets and (we are now working on) the aircraft gunnery system.

If we manage to keep on track we hope that these updated titles will be available in the Spring of 2022, around March I hope.
